The Convergence of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things

Eric Schmidt, Google’s former CEO, was in the audience for Dr Rory Lewis’s invited keynote at the Crowne Plaza in Palo Alto, California. His keynote examined how the Internet of Things is expanding the demands placed on AI, including the roles of deep neural networks (DNNs), GPU computing, and research into sentient understanding and artificial consciousness.

To promote the Palo Alto event, the organizers featured a brief glimpse of Dr Lewis at the very end of their promotional video, filmed as he was about to walk on stage.
